Lighting up Dallas

My husband and I have been doing a lot of traveling this month. Between business trips and family gatherings, connecting flights and layovers, we’ve been through enough airports to last a year. Usually our flights are in the morning to accommodate schedules, but this past trip, I chose an evening flight.

It’s been a while since I’ve flown out at night and I’ve forgotten how beautiful it is to gaze down onto the maze of shimmering lights of Dallas. It never ceases to amaze me how much of our lives are connected to technology and in turn, dependant on the electric grid. It’s nice to know that TXU Energy Aid, our bill payment assistance program – the largest of its kind in the country – has helped so many customers keep their lights glowing during tough times. If I look closely, I think I can vaguely see the four LED outdoor solar lights speckled in my front garden. ☺

If your home was in the picture, what would we be seeing from the skies?  Do you leave your porch light on at night or illuminate your pool? Is your TV set near your rec. room’s picture window?
