In a state with abundant sunlight, it’s not surprising to see more solar power plants popping up across Texas.

Texas’ largest solar power plant – with a capacity of 30 megawatts (MW) – has recently opened up across 380 acres of Webberville, Texas.  The plant’s 127,000 solar modules will follow the sun’s movement across Texas’ sunny skies throughout the day to produce more than 1.4 billion kWh and power over 136,000 homes.

The solar plant will be run and operated by RES Americas, and the electricity generated from its solar panels over the next 25 years will be delivered to homeowners and businesses via Austin Energy.
